Our next online Sackville Photography Club meeting is this Wednesday, March 17th.
Clocks have moved ahead an hour and we can enjoy more light at the end of our days. For those getting up for sunrises you get an extra hour in bed for next bit!
Happy St. Patrick’s Day to all of you who are Irish, have a bit of Irish DNA or wish they did – “May the road rise up to meet you. May the wind be always at your back.”
We have another great meeting planned and are more than pleased to be hosting Calgary based, Lee Nordbye, as our Guest Speaker with his presentation “Capturing Bold Stories“.
” …. Since I was a wee gaffer of 12, I’ve been smitten with exploring and capturing the magical exemplars of our world. From the Canadian Rockies to Namibia in the south and to the coast of Greenland in the north, my journey has not only been to record the raw and visceral beauty of our 3rd rock from the sun, but also the legacy of those kindred souls that travel this mythical journey through space, with me. Since 2017, I’ve made bold storytelling my life’s work. ….”
Ian Proctor will be presenting in the second half “Rig Life: A Photo Documentary of Life on a Drilling Rig in Alberta”. Ian Proctor will also provide an update on Field Trips, Kevin Hall will update the Mentoring program, Chris Wheeler will provide details for our Annual Photo Contest and Chris Briand will take us through Club Business.
