Our next meeting of Sackville Photography Club is Wednesday, October 2nd, 2019.
Our Guest Speaker, Katarina Marinic, will be sharing her latest project “Oceans of Change”, which is currently on view at the Canadian Museum of Immigration at Pier 21 where she is the current Artist in Residence. Katarina’s practice includes both fine art and commercial projects, and will touch briefly on past projects and her career path as well.
** A general note, even if this subject isn’t your shooting preference there are always tips and techniques you can learn to add to your own shooting tool kit for whatever your subject is!
Mark Klaamas will be introducing the new Facebook Cover Image Challenge. If there has been enough participation (you have until Saturday evening September 28), Hugh Chisholm will have the “Slices of Light” Monthly Showcase ready for us. Mike Donahue will be presenting a How I Got the Shot segment on the Milky Way, followed by a Tech Talk on “Sequator” by Mark Klaamas. Information will be provided for the Mini-Workshop on October 27th with Erin Falkenham on Free-Lensing and Black & White Editing. There will be updates on the Fall Exhibition, Kelby World Wide Walk, Field Trip, Mentoring, and a reminder of the October Monthly Theme will all be presented during the meeting. As always we will have our 50/50 at break.
