The Sackville Photography Club had a very full and vibrant year, with preparations started early July 2018 by the Executive and Planning Committees. The year included semi-monthly meetings, field trips, mentoring, full-scale workshop, fall exhibition, annual photo contest, charity involvement, introduction of the SPC Buy and Sell group, Christmas party and end of season social.
Participation by members was our goal for the year – at meetings (technical talks, showcases, critique nights), in field trips, through mentoring (both teaching and learning). It was a year full of exposure to different ideas and education, giving a solid foundation for each of us to continue to grow upon.
The Executive were instrumental in leading the Club forward with their dedication of time, innovative forward thinking and willingness to get the job done. The Planning Committee members worked just as hard and should be commended for what they have given to the Club this past year.
On behalf of the 2018/19 Executive (President, Kim Ottenbrite; Vice-President, Marshall Hewitt; Secretary, Chris Briand; Treasurer, James Somers; Member-at-Large, Mike Donahue), thank you to every member of the Club for making us one of the largest (with membership reaching from Halifax Regional Municipality to the Annapolis Valley, Central Nova, South Shore, Eastern Shore and so many locations in-between), most vibrant, educational and social Clubs in Eastern Canada.
We are looking forward to bringing you an even better year in 2019/20. Stay inspired, keep shooting and continue to grow!
