Our next Sackville Photo Club meeting is this Wednesday April 17th, 2019. Doors open at 6:30pm and the meeting starts at 7pm.
This week Mike Donahue will be leading us through the return of Live Critiques, assisted by a member critique panel and audience participation. A great learning experience and as always very supportive. If you haven’t yet submitted an image to Mike, pop onto the Facebook page and send him a note, your participation is encouraged. We will present our Common Object Showcase for “Coffee”. Marshall Hewitt will get us all thinking about our annual Photo Contest, and it’s that time of year when we get excited about Elections (well more like people stepping up to volunteer). There will be updates on Field Trips from Darren Lightfoot. As always we will have our 50/50 at break.
Because the April Monthly “Architecture” and Common Object “Cell Phones” Themes weren’t announced last meeting (sincere apologies), they will both be extended to midnight Saturday, May 11th and images can be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org .
Dave Brosha’s “Moments of Magic: Art In The Landscape” workshop is coming up in 10 days on April 27th-28th, last call for tickets to attend the 4-6 hour Classroom portion on Saturday, April 27th – a great opportunity to hear Dave speak about all aspects of Landscape photography through a series of talks / slideshows / inspiration / technique. Tickets are available for the Classroom portion only ($37.50) through Eventbrite https://www.eventbrite.ca/e/moments-of-magic-art-in-the-landscape-tickets-46614362814 Password: SackvillePC . Ticket sales close Friday April 19th.
We encourage your participation in meetings – consider submitting a Member Showcase or giving a “How I Got the Shot” presentation or even a 10 – 15 minute Tech Talk. Please contact Kim Ottenbrite at email@example.com if you want to be on the agenda of an upcoming meeting.
See you on Wednesday!
