Our next Sackville Photo Club meeting is this Wednesday March 6th, 2019. Doors open at 6:30pm and the meeting starts at 7pm.
This week our Guest Speaker is Adam Cornick of Acorn Art & Photography, you will surely recognize him for his iconic “Rock Pool Hockey” image created in Peggy’s Cove (yes he will have some 8×12 prints with him available for sale $30 each ).
Hugh Chisholm has our Monthly Showcase ready from the February “Purple” theme. Common Object theme images for “Hat” and Ice” need to be submitted by this Saturday March 9th for a combined Showcase at the next meeting. Mark Klaamas will finish his “How I Got the Shot” presentation on Snowflake Photography, showing us his Photoshop editing process. There will be updates on Field Trips and the last Lightroom Editing Session from Darren Lightfoot and Mentoring from Kevin Hall. Mike Donahue will update us on the Edit My Image mini -exchange. As always we will have our 50/50 at break.
The March Monthly Theme is “Composites” images and the Common Object Theme is “Coffee”. Send up to 5 images in each category (subject line should read “Composites” or “Coffee” accordingly) to email@example.com by midnight Saturday, March 30th.
Dave Brosha’s “Moments of Magic: Art In The Landscape” workshop is coming up on April 27th-28th, although all of the 2-day passes have been sold, there are still plenty of tickets to attend the 4-6 hour Classroom portion on Saturday, April 27th – a great opportunity to hear Dave speak about all aspects of Landscape photography through a series of talks / slideshows / inspiration / technique.
