Our next Sackville Photo Club meeting is this Wednesday February 6th, 2019. Doors open at 6:30pm and the meeting starts at 7pm.
We have great meeting planned for you.
Our Guest Speaker Julie Guy of In-Point Media and Communications will be presenting tips and techniques for recording video with your DSLR, what your DSLR is capable of, as well as general do’s and don’ts of good videography. We will also be visited by Joyce Chew, Halifax Representative of CAPA (Canadian Association of Photographic Art) to give us an outline of the benefits of membership and resources available.
Hugh Chisholm has the January Monthly Showcase “Negative Space / Minimalism” ready for us. Mike Donahue will be introducing Edit My Image, a fun new way for any who are willing to accept the challenge, to show their unique vision and editing styles on the same image. Darren Lightfoot will be updating us on Field Trips, Kevin Hall will give us an update on Mentoring. As always we will have our 50/50 at break.
The February Monthly Theme is “Purple” and the Common Object Theme is “Ice”. Send up to 5 images in each category (subject line should read “Purple” or “Ice” accordingly) to email@example.com by midnight, Saturday February 23rd.
We encourage your participation in meetings – consider submitting a Member Showcase or giving a “How I Got the Shot” presentation or even a 10 – 15 minute Tech Talk. Please contact Kim Ottenbrite at firstname.lastname@example.org if you want to be on the agenda of an upcoming meeting.
See you on Wednesday!
