SPC – Valley Vineyard Tour – Sunday, October 14, 2018
The Annapolis Valley, in particular the Wolfville area, is quickly becoming to be known as one of the best grape growing areas in Canada and as a result has some of the best Vineyards……not to mention some of the best tasting wines. Join the Sackville Photography Club’s field trip to tour two of the very best Vineyards in Nova Scotia.
The tour will start with the newest kid on the block, Lightfoot & Wolfville. Before anyone asks there is no relationship between me and the vineyard….I am just not that lucky.
The tour will start at 10:30 a.m. and will last for about 45 – 60 min. After the tour, members will be free to explore the vineyard and photograph it. The tour will also include three “tastings” of wine.
After the tour of the Lightfoot & Wolfville tour, we will break for lunch. Members can dine on the patio of Lightfoot & Wolfville or head into Wolfville itself to dine at one of the local restaurants/pubs. If you need any suggestions just ask me.
Our vineyard tour will start back up at 2:00 p.m. at the Luckett Vineyard. There is not an organized tour of this vineyard and photographers are free to wander the grounds and photograph it. This vineyard is unique in that it has a red British phone booth amongst the rows of vines. Luckett Vineyard is open until 5:00 p.m. with the patio open from 11:00 – 4:00.
