Mentoring: Bracketing and Post Processing

Sunday, November 27th, 2016 – 6:30am, then 2:00pm – 4:30pm

Lacy White will be hosting our first organized mentoring session of 2016.

We will meet up for a pre-sunrise morning shoot (lots of bracketing) at 6:30am at the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic.  We will then disperse and get together at the Sackville Public Library later that day at 2pm-430pm to go over lightroom/photoshop processing of the images.

In order to provide adequate mentoring, this session is limited to 5 members and requires you to sign-up (it’s free, just to confirm the number of participants).  Due to the limited number of participants, please be sure that you can commit before signing up.  The sign-up can be found at:

What To Bring

Morning Session

Camera – DSLR, Mirrorless, Point and Shoot.  Ideally something that will allow for automatic bracketing of exposures, but it can be done without this.  If you aren’t sure, bring it along.

Lens – Your favourite landscape lens(es)

Tripod – Bracketing and low light morning images are best made with a sturdy tripod as a base

Cable Release – Wired or wireless, a cable release is handy to reduce the chance of vibration.  The camera self timer is another option.

Afternoon Session

Laptop – Bring your laptop with Adobe Lightroom and/or Photoshop installed.  Ideally you will have your images already transferred to the laptop.
